My first ever blog interview came out recently, so if you have time, please have a look. http://katheryn-lane.blogspot.com/2011/11/murder-ballet-and-god-interview-with.html
I picked this up from FaceBook and thought I would add my own comment on behalf of Dads

♥ A mom thinks about her kids even if they're not with her.
♥ A mom loves her kids in a way that they will never understand (until they have their own!).
♥ A mom will be there for her kids when no one else will.
♥ A mom loves her kids even when they neglect and hurt her.
... ♥ A mom will catch a grenade, take a bullet, stand in front of a train, & ask God to take her instead of her child or Grandchild....
♥ A mom loves her kids to the moon and back and more! xoxox ♥
♥ If you are a mom and have a child or children whom you love more than anything in this world, copy and paste this to your status

but....

this is from me: The only difference between a mum and a dad then, is opportunity. There's a lot of dad's out there that are not allowed to see their children or grandchildren, let alone love them, protect them, provide for them, care for them, encourage them, support them, share their joy or their tears. There is nothing more cruel than to deny a dad the opportunity to know his grandchildren.

The Royal Sheikh

The-Royal-Sheikh

Just occasionally, it’s good for an older man like me to get away from the blood and musket adventure or crime thriller that would be my preferred genre, and settle down to read a good old fashioned romance, and that’s exactly what I found in this book. I read this novel from beginning to end which says a lot for it, because all too often recently, I have found the “Romance” genre to have been hijacked by being unnecessarily descriptive of bedroom intimacy, which quite frankly, turns me off. So if you like a straight forward romance… this is a great book but it is not steamy. It’s a good old fashioned romance where girl meets boy but boy isn’t all that he seems. What I really enjoyed was the way that the writer keeps the story moving. Even though I was not burdened with endless character descriptions, I am left with the feeling that I know the main characters personally. Now that’s the sort of achievement I like in a novelist.  I enjoyed reading this novel but I didn’t quite love it. It therefore falls between 4 and 5 stars on the Amazon scale.
